The European Space Agency (ESA) has succeeded in creating an image of the North Pole. The photo is taken with the help of Proba-2, informs 1NEWS by referring to znaj.ua.

Here is a dark point that you can see "from the top" of the Sun. The picture was taken thanks to a small number of satellites around the Sun that was watching him. The photo shows a detailed picture of the sun in all its dazzling beauty – with coronal hinges, sunspots and solar flares.

To obtain this image, scientists used several "scientific devices". After all, the device can not directly observe the poles of the star. Representatives of the agency took pictures that describe the behavior of the atmosphere in the region of the North Pole of the Sun, then removed them, creating an illusion of view from below. The same principle was applied to all the images taken by the machine during the rotation of the star. This allowed to obtain a holistic picture of the north pole of the sun

The result of the work on the image could illuminate some of the secrets of the sun. For example, how coronal openings and emissions are formed. Nevertheless, to properly study the poles, researchers will have to wait for the launch of the ESA satellite on the solar orbit in 2020.
