According to the film's history, in 1933, the Welsh journalist Gareth Jones met in Moscow the journalist Ada Brooks. Ada opens her eyes to the cruelty of the Soviet regime. Gareth, despite deadly threats, begins to investigate. Guilty of the secret services of the USSR, it reveals step by step the truth about the tragedy of the Ukrainian people: rigid censorship, mass repression and Holodomor.
