The US Treasury Department blocked the sale to Iranian Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft of Iranian air carriers.
According to the Israeli portal iHLS, the Americans refused to issue an export certificate on the liner. More than 10% of Sukhoi Superjet 100 parts are manufactured in the United States, which means that the agreement must be approved by the United States Department of Finance.
Obtaining an export certificate was the main requirement of Iran. In Tehran, it has already been indicated that it is putting an end to deliveries to the country of the Russian "Superjet" – the replacement of US coins in Russia takes a lot of time.
According to OBOZREVATEL, the US administration plans to introduce a second round of sanctions against the Russian Federation in case of poisoning of the GRU agent, Sergey Skryptal, to British Salisbury. New restrictions are expected to be announced in January 2019, affecting the financial, defense and diplomatic sectors.
