The governments of Denmark, Sweden and Switzerland have launched a project on development of effective governance and social cohesion in Donbas.
As indicated on the website of the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine, the project is planned for 2022. Denmark will devote more than $ 9 million to this program, $ 3 million in Sweden and $ 2 million in Swiss.
According to Viktor Muntian, head of the United Nations Rehabilitation and Development Program, the project will change the administrative, environmental and police spheres. in the security sector.
The United Nations stressed that the funds allocated "will start to look for ways to solve key problems in the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts".
In addition, the project is expected to promote "social cohesion" in the east of Ukraine and contribute to the implementation of decentralization and health reform in the region.
Previously, the Ukrainian government and the European Union had presented the Joint Framework Program for Humanitarian Aid and Development of Eastern Regions of Ukraine.
