RALEIGH (WRAL) – Two suspects are in custody after a Raleigh police officer was shot dead Wednesday night.
The authorities claim that he allegedly investigated a suspicious vehicle that was allegedly involved in the act.
The officer stepped out of the patrol car and was almost immediately shot, shot and wounded, including one on his neck, the authorities said.
The injured officer was placed in a patrol car and on the way to a nearby hospital was transferred to an ambulance.
