Min National Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak announced that a group of British Navy soldiers would arrive in Ukraine in January to determine what assistance the Ukrainian army would need.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, during the working visit of the Secretary of State for Defense of Britain Gavin Williamson in Odessa had bilateral talks with the head of the Ukrainian Defense Department.

In particular, when communicating with media representatives aboard the frigate Hetman Sagaidachny, Poltorak said that the issue of accelerating the implementation of a number of measures and concrete decisions taken a month ago when his visit to London, taking into account the circumstances associated with a sharp worsening of the security situation, was discussed today. and the aggression of the Russian Federation against the naval forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kerch Strait, as well as the situation on the border between Ukraine and Russia.

"The decisions we have taken are related to the beginning of sea readiness of the infantry, and already in January a group of British naval forces will arrive in Ukraine to organize exchanges, plan joint exercises and also determine the logistical assistance needed by the Ukrainian armed forces, directly to the naval forces, "Poltorak said.
