Our football never tires of astonishing. As expected, today, on the occasion of the glorious day of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a general assembly of the participants in the ULR was to be held. It was also to be debated. The issue of extending the championship to 16 participants next season was planned. However, as the meeting did not take place, half of the clubs ignored the event.
UPL officially confirmed that the clubs had received calls asking them not to attend the meeting. The organization also reports that its representatives have not made these calls. We can only guess the initiators of the collapse of the meeting.

Today, December 6, the General Assembly participants in the ULR, who were initiated by the League. The clubs had to discuss and decide on two important issues – the eventual extension of the ULF to 16 clubs, as well as issues related to the fight against contract matches in Ukraine.
However, the general meeting did not take place. With the lack of quorum (there were 6 clubs when required.)
According to the available information, the clubs received this morning calls asking them not to participate in the scheduled meetings. In addition, it appears that such calls come from employees or representatives of the Ukrainian Premier League. We officially declare that none of the RHUs made such calls, but did not encourage the clubs to participate in the meeting. This information is false.
The Ukrainian Premier League stresses that the issues to be discussed at the General Assembly meeting are very important and relevant to Ukrainian football, since contract games have not only effects negative. the image of football in Ukraine, but also threatens its existence as such. UPL stresses the full support of the zero tolerance principle for contract matches.
Given the crucial need to make decisions on the items on the agenda of today's Assembly, the League decided to hold the new assembly general of ULR participants on December 20, 2018
