A strong storm that is expected to hit New Jersey from Thursday afternoon could drop up to 3 inches of rain, trigger coastal flooding and cause wind gusts of up to 50 mph until it reaches ############################################################################### 39 to Friday.
Thursday morning, it will be very hot all day and it will not rain so snow, predictors predict.
Most of the state should receive 2 to 3 inches of rain with only Cape May County. and southwestern New Jersey is expected to reach 1.5 to 2 inches, according to the National Weather Service. Previously published flood monitoring has been expanded and now covers the entire state.
One of the main concerns is the risk of minor to moderate coastal flooding, as well as road flooding in poorly drained areas. A major flood of the river is also possible and there is even a threat of sudden flooding caused by torrential rains if thunderstorms are preparing in certain areas, says the meteorological service.
