Van Teng, product manager at Xiaomi, commented that the new sensor was slightly more expensive than the Mi 8 Pro installed.
About Xiaomi's competition with other Chinese manufacturers, it is worth mentioning that Vivo a year ago showed Kon An Apex smartphone with a half-screen scanner, but in the commercial version of Vivo Nex, it did not turn out to be the same scanner.
