Recently, the Statista analysis company released an evaluation of smartphones having a detrimental effect on the human body. The list is based on the specific SAR absorption rate (SAR). The unit of measure of the SAR is the watt per kilogram.
In Europe, the permissible radiation value is 2 W / kg, whereas in the United States, the Federal Communications Agency (FCC) only certifies devices with a SAR not exceeding 1.6 W / kg.
A smartphone with the highest radiation levels has become Xiaomi Mi A1 with a coefficient of 1.75 W / kg that exceeds the standards allowed in the US market. The second place was the OnePlus 5T with a result of 1.63 W / kg, which is also higher than the level allowed by the US standards. Third place went to Xiaomi Mi Max 3, with a result of 1.58 W / kg. The fourth place with a SAR of 1.55 W / kg is OnePlus 6th
It should be noted that despite the "terrible indicators", science has not yet provided evidence of adverse effects on the human body. In simple terms, smartphones "flare up" but cause SAR radiation sickness – science is unknown.
