Ultron’s thoughts of the kids in Avengers: Age of Ultron could predict Wanda’s weakness in WandaVision.

Billy and Tommy grow up fast in WandaVision, going from newborns to ten-year-olds in a single episode. Now, they exhibit superpowers, with Billy taking after Wanda and Tommy taking after Pietro. Plus, they don’t appear to be completely under Wanda’s control, unlike the rest of Westview. The twins, along with the other children of Westview, continue to be a mystery; However, Avengers: Age of Ultron may have predicted that the children of WandaVision could be Wanda’s downfall.

While visiting an abandoned Sokovian building, Wanda and Pietro find Ultron. As they explain why Wanda let Tony Stark take Loki’s staff, the Scarlet Witch reveals that she knew Tony’s fear would be self-destructive. Ultron agrees, noticing how “everyone creates what they dread.” He talks about how those who seek peace create weapons and the bad guys create heroes. Ultron also mentions how children will be the downfall of their parents, claiming, “children [are] designed to supplant them, to help them finish. “
This cynical school of thought seems more out there than Ultron’s other conclusions. It’s a robot designed to protect Earth, so making the correlation between heroes and villains, as well as peacekeepers and gunmakers, didn’t come out of nowhere. Even Vision sees a correlation between the rise of superheroes and villains Captain America: Civil War. However, assuming that all children will “supplant” their parents is extreme, but there may be some truth to this. WandaVision.
All along WandaVision, the children of Westview are a mystery, with Billy and Tommy being the first sitcom town kids to appear in Episode 3, “Now in Color.” Even Vision notices that there are no kids in town other than their kids in Episode 5, “On a Very Special Episode …;” however, the city has invested heavily in children.
Episode 1, “Filmed Before a Live Studio Audience,” sees Ms. Hart asking Wanda about why she hasn’t had children yet, and Episode 2, “Don’t Touch That Dial” , presents a talent show dedicated to children, although there are no children. The focus on children without having children left many viewers wondering what is going on with children.
While episode 6, “The All New Halloween Spooktacular!” Did Pietro propose that Wanda keep all the sleeping children because she wouldn’t want to traumatize them too often, she neither confirms nor denies it. Wanda might recognize that what she is doing is traumatic, so she avoids the children what she does the adults; however, she could also do it out of fear, whether it is fear for their well-being or fear for herself. If Pietro is right, the kids going through the trauma their parents are going through might be the wake-up call Wanda needs to stop the Hex.
If that isn’t empathy for those kids, then his own kids could be his downfall. During Episode 5, Wanda attempts to put the babies to sleep using her powers, but they don’t settle down. She has been able to control the actions of others, so it is surprising that her abilities cannot phase newborns. Billy and Tommy grow old later, which also seems to be out of Wanda’s control. Additionally, although they were born in France, the twins wonder what Wanda is saying, like what day of the week it is, and they speculate that she can “mend the dead”, although she does. was not alive when their father, Vision, died.
Episode 6 goes one step further by showing that these children could pose a threat to Wanda, especially Billy. In addition to developing energy-based powers similar to Wanda’s, Billy is clairvoyant, able to see beyond the Hex. He could learn more about the truth of their reality through this ability, and with powers like Wanda’s, he could possibly cancel the Hex, as well as his control over the residents. Their powers, cognition, and free will could end Wanda’s fantasy, and with Billy seemingly taking after his mother when it comes to abilities, they could also “supplant” her, proving Ultron was right.
