CHAPEL HILL, NC – North Carolina took a 26-6 lead over rival Duke on Senior Night and never looked back, winning 91-73. The closest the Blue Devils got was 12 points as three different Tar Heels scored 18 points and Garrison Brooks added 14 points in his last game at the Smith Center.

Armando Bacot established a dominant position in the low post. UNC has a significant size advantage over Duke and the tall sophomore used it to his advantage. He finished with 18 points and six rebounds. He was also 6 of 7 from the free throw line. Kerwin Walton, who had struggled to shoot in the last few games, also had 18 points on 6 of 9 shots and knocked down four three-pointers. As a team, the UNC shot down 8 of the 18 to depth.

Love completed the trio who had 18 points. He also had seven assists for the third time this year. Brooks, the 6-foot-9 senior, set a season record of two threes, one of which was a fadeaway shot in the corner when the shot clock expired.

Everything was going for the Tar Heels on Saturday as they overcame 20 turnovers and swept their regular-season rivals for the second time in three years. Duke shot 41 percent (28-69 FG) from the floor and 19 percent (5-27 3FG) from three.
