WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – A flight instructor died after a plane crashed into a Winter Haven home Saturday, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
Lakeland flight instructor James Wagner, 64, was identified by MPs as the victim who died in the accident.
Deputies said that a 17-year-old girl was in a bedroom of the house and had been stuck under the wreckage after the accident. She was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The accident occurred just after take-off from the Winter Haven Regional Airport at approximately 12:48 pm, MPs said.

The damaged house is on 21st Street Northwest, which runs along the east side of the airport.
Several people were inside the house during the accident, deputies said.
Investigators said the plane had two people inside during the accident.
The deputies did not specify if it was Wagner who was flying during the accident.
A trainee pilot inside the aircraft survived the accident and even left the wreckage after the incident, deputies said.
