CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – For the third time this week, Clarksville Police are attempting to negotiate with a barricaded subject.

At approximately 5:42 a.m., police were called in about a domestic incident on Emerald Court between North Henderson Way and Greenspoint Drive, according to Sgt. Charles Gill.

“This situation is isolated in a residence, but we ask the public to stay in their homes if possible.

Sections of Emerald, North Henderson Way and Greenspoint will be closed until this situation can be resolved.

Police are asking residents to use Barkers Mill Road to enter and exit the neighborhood until further notice.

Emerald is located north of Clarksville, between Tiny Town Road and the Kentucky state border.

This is the third barricade incident in Clarksville this week.

A woman set a house on fire on Wednesday and fired two shots inside the house before being shot with a bag of beans.

On Saturday, a man took away a toddler and had a standoff with police before taking his own life.
