Google will soon start offering movie reviews and schedules in your text message chats, but it says that it is not reading all your conversations.
On Monday, Google announced that "in the coming months", a Google Assistant integration would come to the company's latest text messaging application, Android Messages.
When users of Messages are texting restaurants, movies, or weather, the wizard will provide links to additional information, called "suggestion bullets." These links can help fuel the conversation, such as a restaurant review when you decide to organize your dinner.
This feature will be available to users around the world, but only in English.
In his blog, Google said it used an "integrated artificial intelligence" to offer suggestion bullets and told Business Insider that the full content of the text-only conversations was never sent to Assistant. Google has stated that only information about suggestion bullets is sent to the wizard when a user clicks on the bullet.
The company claims that its "built-in" artificial intelligence is a technology similar to that used for "smart response" in messages – the feature also available on Gmail that offers suggestions for terminating sentences and sending quick messages.
This announcement reflects Google's growing investment in Messages, which plans to close its Allo smart messaging application in March.

Messages is Google's latest attempt to create a text messaging app that users love. Until now, despite several attempts, Google Buzz, Google Wave, Gchat (technically called Google Talk) and soon Allo have not managed to create a hit. The four apps are now in the graveyard of chat apps.
