We took some pictures with the OnePlus just before the update, and then we repeated the same pictures right after the update, which only took a few minutes. And indeed, you can see the difference. You will find that on other photos, the difference is big enough, but here it is a subtle difference, but we notice it and we would say that it is an improvement.
Ultra-Wide Scene Camera 1
Wow! What a huge difference here. The ghostly colors of the ultra-wide camera have proved to be much more saturated, more vivid and we like the resulting image much better. This is great news for those who use the ultra-wide camera a lot because the update really brings a monumental change here.
Scene 1 Telephoto
The new color science, with brighter and more contrasting colors, also applies to pictures taken with 3X telephoto zoom, and the effect is very pronounced.
Scene 2
Again, you can clearly see the differences, because the details are sharper and sharper, and the photo has more contrast and more saturated colors.
Scene 3
A deep difference yet, you can see the changes in action here too. In this particular case, we prefer the result below, but we found that the vast expanse of greenery of the scene through the white balance turned off and that the entire picture had a greenish hue. OnePlus said it has been improved with this update, but it's clearly not quite perfect yet.
Scene 4 in portrait mode
The portrait mode also benefits from the new colors and everything looks livelier and overall better in terms of color reproduction.

OnePlus has kept its promise to provide an update that will dramatically improve the quality of the camera. This update to the Oxygen OS 9.5.7 software corrects our biggest complaints against the OnePlus 7 Pro camera: the dark colors captured by the cameras are now improved and appear much brighter and vivid. The most dramatic improvement was made to the ultra wide-angle camera, which had a severe case of dark color disease and is now much better after the update.
