A report released on Tuesday said Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer had reached “a crisis point” in the locker room due to his actions since last Thursday’s loss to the Bengals, including the decision to call off a meeting team Monday.

The report stated that Meyer had “no credibility” with the team’s players, which would appear to be a major obstacle to the plan to regain “the trust and respect” that Jaguars owner Shad Khan presented in a statement. Meyer said on his radio show that conversations with members of the organization have been “horrible” before saying that “ownership of this team belongs to the players” in terms of the ability to move forward.

Meyer tried again to get things back on track Wednesday morning. NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport Reports Meyer Has Detained a full team meeting and reportedly “expressed responsibility and remorse” for her time in Ohio as the team returned home Thursday night. Videos of Meyer released Friday night engaging with a woman who isn’t his wife on social media this weekend to create the current situation in Jacksonville.

Players are said to have “started laughing out loud” when Meyer addressed the position groups to apologize earlier this week. It is not yet clear how this apology went.
