The Jaguars didn’t even play this weekend, but Urban Meyer still managed to make headlines thanks to a viral video that showed a woman trying to befriend him at a restaurant in the Ohio.

Jaguars coach met the media on Monday for the first time since the video was released and during his press conference, he said he had already apologized to his team.

“I just apologized to the team and the staff for being a distraction,” Meyer said. “It’s stupid. I explained everything that happened and I recognized it and, just plain stupid. I shouldn’t find myself in that kind of position.”

Although Meyer appeared to insist it was just an innocent dance that went wrong during his apology, another video emerged on Monday that appears to show him touching the woman’s back. and you can see this video by clicking here.

So how exactly did Meyer end up in a viral video?

According to the Jaguars coach, he remained in Ohio with the intention of visiting a family after Jacksonville’s heartbreaking 24-21 loss to Cincinnati on Thursday night. Meyer and his family went to a restaurant on Friday night and apparently things were pretty tame when the night started.

“I stayed to see the grandchildren and we all went to the restaurant for dinner that night,” Meyer said. “There was a large group next to our restaurant and they wanted me to come and take pictures and I did.”

There are certainly plenty of photos from the night to prove Meyer was giving fans the photos they wanted.

After taking photos with several people in the restaurant, Meyer then admitted that things took an interesting turn from there.

“They were trying to pull me onto the dance floor, screwing up the hell, and I should have left,” Meyer said.

Unfortunately for Meyer, he didn’t follow his own advice. Meyer ended up staying and that’s when things got risky for him. At one point in the night someone filmed a woman dancing with her butt close to her abdomen and it was the video that ended up going viral (you can see the video by clicking here).

Meyer, who is married, said he told his family about the incident and that they were definitely “pissed off. “So far it hasn’t been a good year for Meyer on or off the pitch. Not only does he face this situation, which he created for himself, but he also faces a 0-4 start in Jacksonville.
