The United States’ National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced Friday that it has opened an investigation into approximately 115,000 Tesla vehicles into front suspension safety concerns.

The agency said it was opening a preliminary assessment of the 2015-2017 Model S and 2016-2017 Model X vehicles after receiving 43 complaints alleging a failure of the front left or right front suspension links.

Tesla issued a service bulletin in February 2017 outlining a manufacturing condition that could result in front suspension in the event of link failure, NHTSA said.
