Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr called a number of Republican leaders on Wednesday after pro-Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol, saying, “You reap what you sow.”
Kerr spoke to the media at a pre-game press conference before the Warriors took on the Los Angeles Clippers and addressed a number of Republican senators by name, apparently blaming them for inciting the protests of the day by questioning the legitimacy of the election results.

“I wish people like Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Josh Hawley had to do pre-game media before they meet in Congress,” he said via The San Francisco Gate. “It would be great for them to answer the question, ‘Are you happy now? Do you keep pushing the line back? Does that make a difference? Are you going to keep activating?’”
Kerr, an outspoken critic of Trump who has also publicly supported the Black Lives Matter movement and the NBA’s efforts to bring it to light, told reporters that the continued behavior of some in Washington enabled events like Wednesday’s. to become normal.
“If we allow the people in power to lie, suddenly you have millions of people doubting a certified election in every state,” he continued.

“We had seven or eight million more people who voted for [Joe] Biden that for [Donald] Asset. Each state has certified these results. Every judicial appeal was dismissed. President Trump issued a statement Thursday morning promising an “orderly transition” later this month after Congress certified the electoral college vote that gave Biden the presidency.
“Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the elections, and the facts confirm it, there will nonetheless be an orderly transition on January 20,” the statement said. “I have always said that we will continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes are counted. While this marks the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it is only the beginning of our fight to make America great again! “

Trump was heavily criticized on Wednesday by both sides for failing to categorically condemn the protests.
