US Drops 10 oil, gas stations

The United States eliminated 10 oil and gas platforms in total this week.

The United States has abandoned 10 oil and gas platforms this week, according to weekly data compiled by Baker Hughes, a GE company.

The country has abandoned nine oil platforms and a gas platform, bringing the total number of aircraft to 1,016. This marks the fifth consecutive week of decline.

The Permian Basin, located in western Texas and New Mexico, is leading the decline. This week, the Permian scrapped five platforms, bringing the total number of active platforms in the Permian to 459. That's almost half of all platforms active in the United States.

Arkoma Woodford, Cana Woodford and Haynesville each dropped a platform this week, completing the main basins down.
