The US national team is ready for a rematch for the gold medal final with Mexico. The respective federations announced Monday that the two teams would meet in a friendly match on September 6th at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The match will be a rematch of the final of the July 7 Gold Cup, won 1-0 by Mexico. The September meeting will also be the 70th edition of the largest international rivalry in North America and will serve as a preparation for the two teams' participation in the Concacaf League of Nations later in the fall.
The match must start at 8:30 pm ET and can be seen on FS1, Univision and UDN. Tickets for the game will go on sale to the public on July 19 at 10:00 ET via ussoccer.com.
