This phenomenon has occurred three times in the last three years; in the previous 30 years, this has only happened seven times (Arantxa Sánchez Vicario at Roland Garros 1989, Iva Majoli at Roland Garros 1997, Serena Williams at the US Open 1999, Anastasia Myskina at Roland Garros 2004 Maria Sharapova at Wimbledon 2004, Svetlana Kuznetsova at the 2004 US Open and Francesca Schiavone at Roland Garros 2010).
