US regulators warn people not to use certain Claire makeup products because tests have confirmed that they contain asbestos.

The Food and Drug Administration says Claire has refused her recall request and that the agency does not have the power to force him. A representative of Claire did not comment immediately.

The FDA said it was informed of asbestos cases in products sold by retailers Claire's and Justice in 2017. Justice issued a recall that year. Claire removed the products from the stores but did not issue a recall.

Cosmetics do not need FDA approval. Tuesday's warning came after the FDA announced that its tests had confirmed the presence of asbestos in a Justice product and all three Claire products.
