American football elected Bill Taylor as its vice president at its annual general meeting on Saturday.

Taylor, the president of the Idaho Youth Soccer Association, defeated former U.S. Men’s National Team star Cobi Jones, USSF board member Tim Turney and Metropolitan DC-Virginia president Soccer Association Jim Sadowski in the election, which required two rounds of voting after no candidate was successful. get the majority of votes in the first round. Taylor won in the second round with 55.94% of the vote, ahead of Jones, who took 40.47%.

Jones got over 45% in the first round of voting, but saw his support drop in the second round after Sadowski gave up for the second round of voting.
