US stocks advanced on Thursday as new hopes for progress emerged in the US-China trade dispute.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average index rose 262 points, or 1%. The S & P 500 grew 1.1%, primarily due to higher inventories of technology, industry and commercially sensitive materials. Nasdaq Composite, a state-of-the-art technology, grew by 1.4%.
