The person who bought the $ 1.5 billion Mega Millions lottery ticket 22 days ago still has not claimed the prize.
There is a 180-day period to cash the ticket in South Carolina, which falls on April 21, 2019.
Mega Millions announced the winning ticket on October 24th. It was bought early October in a KC Mart of South Carolina.
If they do not win the biggest prize ever won by Mega Millions, they can be reinvested in the jackpot of the game.
The chances of winning the prize were 1 out of 303 million.
The owner of the $ 1.5 billion Mega Millions lottery ticket has still not been announced 22 days after his victory, and the time limit for claiming is met.
Seth Elkin, Maryland Lottery and Gaming spokesman said on Tuesday that the person who bought the ticket a Simpsonville KC Mart, South Carolina, remains a mystery because they have not "heard that the winner of South Carolina has come forward," ABC News reported.
The winner has 180 days to recover his prize, which sets the deadline to April 21, 2019, in accordance with the rules of Mega Millions.
