11-year-old boy pulling and killing his grandmother, then himself, in Arizona

LITCHFIELD PARK, Arizona – Officials from the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said that an 11-year-old boy had killed his grandmother afterwards and then returned the gun to fire at Litchfield Park on Saturday night.

According to the MCSO, shortly after 5 pm, MPs received a call from a man near Litchfield Road and Wigwam Boulevard, who reported that his grandson had shot and killed his 65-year-old wife Yvonne Woodard. and then committed suicide.

The grandfather told the members that he and his wife had full custody of their grandson.

The couple reportedly asked the grandson to clean his room and take care of himself throughout the day because he "was stubborn about it".

Officials said the two men then sat on their sofa in the living room to watch TV. The grandson would then have approached behind them and would have shot Yvonne in the head with a weapon belonging to the grandfather.

The grandfather then ran after the grandson but quickly returned to help his wife. Moments later, he reported that the grandson was then shot in the head.

At this point, the grandfather recovered the gun and called 9-1-1.
