VIRGINIA KEY, Fla. – The US Border Patrol said 15 illegal Cuban nationals were arrested after 27 migrants landed at Virginia Key on Sunday, the US Coast Guard said.

The video of the scene shows migrants – including children – being arrested by US Customs and Border Protection officers.

Paramedic paramedics at the Miami Fire Department treated 13 migrants present at the scene, but none of them was transported to hospitals.

Juan Montoya was on the beach when the migrants arrived.

"There are about 20 to 30 people inside the boat and they are all out, these people have been here for eight days," Montoya said.

He said that they came from Cuba by wooden makeshift boat.

"It was old. This was not a boat. They managed to get out of it.One of them told me that it was was working on it for three weeks at home, "said Montoya.

Border patrol officers said the 15 arrested would be transported to the Dania Beach Border Patrol Station for processing and removal.
