Nineteen black women who ran for judges in Harris County, Texas, reportedly wrote the story this week after winning all their races.
According to BuzzFeed News, this women's group was one of 38 District Democratic Judges elected Tuesday in a county of over 4 million residents.
Lori Chamber Gray, who was among the 19 black women to win warrants, told a local Fox radio station that she hoped the increased diversity of seats would help give the accused a better opportunity to benefit from the fact that they would be better off. 39, a fair trial.

According to BuzzFeed News, the county has also elected Democrat Lina Hidalgo to the position of County Judge ahead of Republican MP Ed Emmett, who has held the position for more than a decade.
