A train departing for Penn Station in New York City experienced a mechanical problem when two of the cars separated near Albany on Wednesday night, Amtrak said.

The incident occurred around 19:22. aboard Amtrak train 68, the Adirondack coming from Montreal.

None of the 287 passengers and crew members were injured.
