Two winning tickets were sold for the $ 687.8 million Powerball draw on Saturday night.

The tickets sold in Iowa and New York matched the six numbers and would share the fourth largest jackpot in the history of the US lottery, officials said Powerball. The jackpot was estimated at $ 687.8 million at the time of the draw with a cash option of $ 396.2 million. Each ticket is worth $ 343.9 million, or $ 198.1 million in cash, before taxes.

The winning numbers of Saturday's draw were the white balls 08, 12, 13, 19, 27, plus Powerball 04 and the 3X power multiplier.

The jackpot ranks fourth in the history of the US lottery behind the world record of $ 1.586 billion shared by the winners in California, Florida and Tennessee in January 2016, the $ 1.537 billion jackpot won South Carolina last Tuesday and the $ 758.7 million Powerball jackpot won in Massachusetts in August 2017.

It was the seventh time that the Powerball jackpot was won this year. Saturday's draw was the 22nd draw since the last time the Powerball jackpot was hit on August 11 in New York.

Fifteen tickets matched the five white balls, but missed the red powerball match in the Saturday draw. Thirteen of these tickets earned $ 1 million, with winning tickets sold in California, Colorado, Florida, Kentucky, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Texas. Tickets sold in Florida and Texas won $ 2 million.

The next draw on Powerball will be on October 31 with a $ 40 million jackpot.
