News 12 has learned that Rockland County has donated about 300 MMR vaccines since a measles outbreak has begun, and a health clinic partnership has yielded 1,700.
Dozens of families were on Thursday at the County Health Department, which offered free MMR vaccines at the community outreach center. It was the latest in a series of free vaccine clinics offered by the county following the outbreak, which began early this month.
The epidemic began after several people infected with the virus back from Israel.
A spokesman for the Hasidic Jewish community says that he believes spread so quickly because it's happening in a community that regularly gathers in large groups, he has exposed more people.

The number of confirmed cases is up to 18, along with six other suspects.
