Argentina was about to be eliminated from the World Cup on Tuesday, until the unlikely goal of the hero Marcos Rojo allowed a 2-1 defeat of Nigeria to clinch a place in the round of 16.
It was one of the greatest moments of the proud history of football in Argentina, and the legendary Argentine announcer Andres Cantor – famous for its animation "Gooooaalll!" calls – celebrated the goal on Telemundo Deportes with without doubt his best call.
Meanwhile, in skyboxes, Argentine legend Diego Maradona reacted to the score by returning the double bird to someone who had apparently quipped him.

Subsequent reports reported that Maradona was taken to a local hospital after the match for an unknown problem.
