Russia was one of the surprises of the tournament until here after beating Saudi Arabia 5-0 in their opening match and supported by a 3-1 win against the 39; Egypt.

The hosts seemed particularly dangerous with Artem Dzyuba, Aleksandr Golovin and Denis Cheryshev, all impressive.

They will have their work cut out against Uruguay because the team of Oscar Tabarez has not yet conceded a goal at the World Cup.

The central defensive partnership of Diego Godin and José Gimenez seemed daunting, but Tabarez will have to make some changes as the 23 – year – old man was ruled out, according to the Russian news agency TASS.

Russia only needs a draw to finish in the lead, and they look to be the team of two form. The winner of the group will face the second group B, which will probably be Spain or Portugal.

Group B started well for the final phase of the matches, with only Morocco qualifying for the round of 16.

Spain and Portugal are leading the standings with four points, but Iran is just a little further down in third place and knows that victory will make them pass.

Carlos Queiroz's team shocked Morocco 1-0 in the first meeting and offered another strong performance while she narrowly tilted 1-0 over the match. Spain.

Portugal will be favored to progress and needs only a draw. In Cristiano Ronaldo, they also have a player who thrives at the World Cup.

Ronaldo has already scored four goals, but he was outpaced in the race for the Golden Boot by the Englishman Harry Kane, which could give more motivation.

Meanwhile, Spain should book its place in the round of 16 against a Moroccan team that seemed lively but suffered from a lack of attack attack.

A draw would be enough for Spain, but they have not yet shown their best level in the World Cup, and a convincing victory would lead them with real momentum.
