The US Postal Inspection Service offers up to $ 25,000 worth of information on a 26-year-old pregnant dummy mailer who has been missing for nearly two weeks.

Kierra Coles was last seen on Oct. 2 near his home in the 8100 block of South Vernon Avenue in the Chatham neighborhood of the South Side, according to Chicago police.

Coles, who has worked as a postman for about three years, is about three months pregnant, said her mother, Karen Phillips.

Phillips reported the disappearance of his daughter on October 4, after two days without news from him. Calls on his mobile phone were sent directly to voicemail. The officers checked the health of his apartment and did not find the woman, Phillips said.

"I talk to him every day," Phillips said. "I knew something was wrong. It's just not like her. "

The Postal Inspection Service, the investigative service of the US Postal Service, announced the reward Monday. Spokesperson, Julie Kenney, said the Postal Inspection Service had opened a joint investigation into the disappearance of Coles, in conjunction with the Chicago Police Department.

Kenney said the agency was investigating the crimes committed against her employees, among other things, although she stated that Coles was not on duty when she disappeared.

"At this point everything is possible," said Kenney about the scope of the investigation. "We are just looking for information."

The Chicago branch of the National Letter Carriers Association also issued a $ 2,500 reward, in addition to a $ 1,000 reward posted by a local activist, officials said.

Phillips said his daughter's car was parked outside his apartment for two weeks. She could access the car and found Coles' handbag and cell phone inside.

Regina Kennedy, a family friend, said that Coles had been last seen on Oct. 2, while she was going to an appointment with her aunt and a friend.

Kennedy said the post office had told members of the Coles family that he had left work Wednesday. She added that the family wanted to confirm on her cell phone that she had called, but did not have access to the phone because of a PIN.

Kennedy said that Coles had a lunch bag in her car, as if she had planned to go to work Wednesday.

"It's so bad for her and we're scared," she said.

Coles enjoys working as a postman and he has worked hard to become a permanent employee, said Phillips. She had planned to get pregnant once her stable job gotten.

"It was all right for her," said Phillips. "Everything was as she planned."

Coles is 5 feet 4 inches and weighs about 125 pounds. She is black with brown eyes, dark hair and a medium brown complexion, the Chicago police said in an alert to missing persons.

She has a heart tattoo on her right hand and a tattoo bearing the inscription "Lucky Balance" on her back.
