LANSING, MI — An Ottawa County woman said she had a hunch she was going to win a big prize and boy did she ever. She won a $2 million prize in the Michigan Lottery’s Super Raffle draw held on Oct. 3.

“I was playing the Spin-To-Win game when I saw an ad for the Super Raffle game,” said the 35-year-old winner who chose to remain anonymous. “I normally play a few instant games here and there, but when I read the ad I decided I’d buy a ticket.

“As soon as I bought the ticket, I had a hunch that I was going to be a big winner! I’m so glad I was right!”

The lucky winner chose to receive her prize as a 30-year annuity worth the full $2 million as opposed to the one-time lump-sum option of $1.3 million. With the winnings, she plans on investing in her children’s education.

She bought her winning ticket at Bricks, located at 862 44th Street in Grandville and visited Michigan Lottery headquarters in Lansing recently to claim her prize.

“We’ve got a big family, so this will help pay bills and pay for our children’s education. It’s a tremendous load off our backs,” the player said.
