Brunswick, GA – Police confirm that three people died after an apparent police standoff in Glynn County.

According to the Glynn County Police Department, the investigation into this incident involves Lieutenant Robert Sasser, 41, who was arrested in May after being turned into a police officer as a result of 39, an alleged domestic incident in Brunswick, Georgia, with his wife.

Police tell First Coast News that this fatal incident involves several scenes; one in Glynn County and another in McIntosh County.

On May 16, it was reported that Sasser was introduced to his ex-wife He allegedly tried to knock down the door by shouting, "I'm going to kill you, I'm going to kill him."

He was charged with plain battery and criminal trespass and was in administrative leave without pay.

The agencies involved in this homicide investigation are the GCPD, the Glynn County Sheriff's Office, the McIntosh County Sheriff's Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigations.
