EUREKA, Missouri – Thousands of people are asking for a chance to spend 30 hours in a coffin at Six Flags St. Louis.

Fright Fest has announced the new challenge for the 2018 Halloween season.

Up to now, more than 32,000 people have entered the contest, which Six Flags St. Louis has confirmed with 5 On Your Side. But only six lucky (fortunate?) the candidates will be chosen. They will spend 30 hours in a coffin from 13 hours. Saturday, October 13 at 19h the next day.

Six Flags accepts candidates until October 3rd. Click here to join.

If you've been to Fright Fest for the past two years, you can recognize the coffins or possibly take a picture. They were used as decorations and accessories for the photos, but were transformed this year for the competition.

Six Flags described coffins as lightly worn coffins, "luxury, 2'x7 '".

Participants will have a six-minute break in the bathroom every hour, as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner in bed. Phone charging stations are available and participants can bring blankets, pillows and a sleeping bag to make the casket a little more comfortable.

But anyone planning to take a nap in the majority of 30 hours will be seriously disappointed. Competitors must come out of their coffins for the six-minute break every hour – even overnight. So, forget about all that uninterrupted sleep potential.

Everyone who completes the 30 hour challenge will receive $ 300, two Gold Season 2019 passes, a Fright Fest package, two Haunted House VIP passes, tickets to the Freak train and, of course, their casket.

Since Six Flags St. Louis announced the Coffin Challenge last week, it has become viral, with candidates from across the country. Because the idea has been so successful, Six Flags sites throughout America will join the party.
