A small white dog stirred the morning commute to Seattle on Monday, running along the shoulder of State Route 520 and escaping the authorities for hours until it was finally captured. .

The puppy ran along the SR 520 floating bridge to the east and escaped several people who tried to rescue him, according to the Washington State Transportation Department. The dog jumped into the bushes near Washington Boulevard Lake and out of sight of the WSDOT cameras.

Several agencies tried to catch the little dog, but failed for much of the morning. He was finally captured later on Monday and taken to the Seattle Animal Shelter
