& # 39; AGT & # 39 ;: Courtney Hadwin steals the spotlight from the semifinals with the cover of "Born To Be Wild"

Courtney Hadwin showed off her wild side again on America's Got Talent on Tuesday.

The 14-year-old English singer – who has become one of the fans of the season and an indisputable figurehead for her stage presence and incredible voice – came on stage during the second week of the festival . AGT semi-finals and delivered a power performance.

After getting Golden Buzzer from Howie Mandel with an interpretation of Otis Redding's movie "Hard to Handle" in the auditions, then blowing everyone up by covering James' "Daddy's Got a Brand New Bag" Brown, Hadwin's turned to classic rock.

The singer performed an incredible performance of Steppenwolf's classic "Born to Be Wild" and captivated the crowd by dancing, praying and swaying on stage.

By posting the kind of voice that seriously asks you if it could be possessed by the ghosts of late funk music icons, Hadwin stole the show again and left Mandel and Judge Simon Cowell absolutely stunned.

"I can not sit down!" Mandel said, while he was excited next to his chair after his performance. "You were born to be wild, it was wild, you are amazing … My prediction is that you will win America's Got Talent 2018."

While Mel B and Heidi Klum praised Hadwin for his unique personality and his masterful vocal style, they both felt that they lacked the unlimited confidence of their previous appearances and that the pressure of semifinals may have been shaken.

However, Cowell argued that it is her cruelty that has made her a favorite of fans.

"None of your performances should be perfect because that's what you do," Cowell said. "You are that excitement package, and it's raw and it's messy, but that's what makes you great."

"I've seen you at the beginning of the show, behind the scenes, shaking like a leaf, then you come on stage and you become a maniac," Cowell added. "That's why I absolutely love you, Courtney."

Denny Directo from ET talked with Cowell after the show, and the judge explained why her unpredictable and rough character is what makes her a candidate.

"You know, you just feel with her that she does what she feels at night, which I like about her," Cowell said. "She's not a puppet, because it's boring and she's exciting."

As for Mandel, the judge who gave Hadwin his golden buzz weeks before could not be more confident in his decision.

"I do not want to sit before the finals because I think she's going to have confetti again for her," Mandel told ET.

As for the reasons why Hadwin has such a strong connection to viewers, Mandel said that everything was related to the fact that she was not thinking too much about what she was going to do, that she was going to do that. she went out and let the music take over.

When Hadwin is not on stage with bravado and passion that compares her to Janis Joplin, she is a painfully timid and socially awkward young woman, and this juxtaposition – as well as her new fame – is something she has struggled to come to terms in recent weeks.
