Come back Dalvin Cook said his hamstring "feels good at this point" after the Vikings running back was out of practice last week and missed Sunday's loss to the Bills.

Before a quick recovery Thursday night in Los Angeles, Cook said he did not train on Monday, but said he hoped to play against a Rams defense that will award 12 points more per game.

"Yeah, there is a good chance," Cook said.

Thursday night, the start of Week 4 will mark about a year since the end of Cook's rookie season. Cook, who has collected 185 scrum-yards in two games this season, has called the stage "remarkable".

"It's been a while since I've overcome this problem. This is an important step, "said Cook. "I came back a little early. That was the plan and I'm happy with this process. "

The Viking attack was catastrophic against Cookless Bills in the lineup. A 17-0 deficit after the first quarter meant an abandoned race match that produced just 12 yards in four assists. The return of Cook would be welcome, especially with the Rams Todd Gurley on the other sideline.

Elflein says he's ready
