Saturday Night Live (Nov. 17) delivered one of the strangest parodies of an imaginable Sheck Wes song, delivering a "Live Sheck Wes" from the emerging rapper, dedicated to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, described by the always reliable Kate McKinnon in the sketch.
Last week, Ginsburg fell into his office, breaking his ribs. That is why SNL has seen fit to pay tribute to the 85 years resilient. Apparently more worried for the moment of the incident than for the damage that he has caused, it is likely that she will soon be on foot. "You think broken ribs are going to hold her up, hell is okay," Chris Redd told Pete Davidson, introducing McKinnon in his Ginsburg outfit.
Changing the lyrics of the original title to "Live Ginsburg and I ride for Ginsburg", Pete Davidson and Redd dominate the skit, but McKinnon steals the show with nothing more than a few ridiculous faces. "Survived depression and Trump's Twitter attacks," the couple continued. "The broken ribs can not stop it, boy, she's eating that shit for lunch."
SNL recently did a lot of skits on the theme of music. Future and Lil Wayne stopped for a song about women's consent and respect last week. Pete Davidson and Chris Redd were also featured in this sketch, the former representative including a character called Uncle Butt.
