Sean McCoy did not have much to say about rumors of trade involving his possible return to the Eagles, but he managed to dig a hole at Chip Kelly's during his conversation with writers covering the Bills on Wednesday. .
"Anyway, I should not have been exchanged," he says. "I'm killing things."
Kelly, two months after replacing Howie Roseman as Eagles general manager, traded McCoy against the Bills against linebacker Kiko Alonso, who had played for him in Oregon.
In just six seasons with the Eagles, McCoy became the franchise's top scorer with 6,792 yards. He ran for 3,470 yards in four seasons with the Bills.
According to a report released in Buffalo earlier this week, the Eagles contacted the Bills after learning that they had lost running back Jay Ajayi for the season due to a knee injury.
The proposed trade is unlikely – here's my story explaining why – but McCoy has been questioned several times about the rumors on Wednesday.
"I do not worry about that," he said in an interview published on the Bills website. "I just stay focused on the work that needs to be done, I leave it to work on my own, we'll see what happens, it's up to those on the floor to fix that."
McCoy has been out of Philly for four years and has only eight former teammates. He told writers covering the bill at the team's complex in Orchard Park, New York, that he had not really followed the situation of the Eagles' halfbacks.
"To be honest, I did not pay too much attention to it," he said. "You know what it is, you're worried about your team, you're worried about yourself, I'm trying not to lose sleep."
Bills head coach Sean McDermott, assistant coach of the Eagles led by Andy Reid from 1999 to 2010, declined to discuss the situation.
"LeSean is one of our best players," said McDermott. "He had a good game the other day, we get calls all the time, incoming calls are all the time, and Brandon Beane) and I talk a lot and I will not get in. in the details.
"(McCoy) is a valued member of our football team and I will stop there."
McCoy, 30, has posted a total of 13,470 yards since the first leg, making it the eighth record in NFL history by half a dozen behind Edgerrin James and Hall of Famers.
He now ranks 25th in the history of the NFL with 13,704 yards in the first leg, but there are 2,589 yards remaining in the top 10 of all time.
McCoy, 30, racked up 85 rushing yards on Sunday as the Bills beat the Titans. The Bills are 2-3 on a Sunday match against Texans in Houston.
"I stay focused," he says. "I do not pay much attention to it – swap things and everything else.
"This week we have the Texans, they have a good defense, a lot of good players on this defensive line, so I have my hands full."

On Wednesday night, the Eagles decided to qualify, by promoting Tre Sullivan on the training team and by giving up DT.Y. McGill with a failed physical designation.
The Eagles have just claimed McGill, but his time with the Eagles ends almost immediately.
While the Eagles will once again have a small lead over the defensive tackle, they will have at least more depth in safety.
Malcolm Jenkins, Avonte Maddox, Deiondre 'Hall and Rasul Douglas were about to enter this game with a full complement of players capable of coping with security. At least, Sullivan gives them another option, as Corey Graham will miss this match due to a hamstring injury.
Sullivan was a rookie last season and spent this year on the training team. He formed the roster of 53 players out of training camp and played in the first game of the season, but was cut off and sent to the training squad to create a place for Hall.
At least the Eagles are 1-0 with Sullivan on the list this year.
