One of the big disappointments in the first half of the 49ers' season was the reduction in production and playing time for Solomon Thomas, 3rd overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Of the seven defensive linemen of the 49ers who played Monday night against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field, Thomas recorded the least amount of play time. He was on the field only for 26 of the 71 plays defensive 49ers.
Despite his limited playing time, Thomas was awarded the highest Pro Football Focus rating among 49ers defensive players in the team's 33-30 loss to Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Thomas had three pressures (one shot, two hurts) as well as a stoppage of the race.

– Cornerback Greg Mabin, late Jimmie Ward's replacement, made 13 cover shots and conceded four receptions on five goals for 62 yards and one touchdown.
– DeForest Buckner and Sheldon Day had five presses each, with each man contributing a bag and four in a hurry.
– Neither left tackle Joe Staley nor right tackle Mike McGlinchey allowed quarterback pressure.
– Quarterback C. Beathard proved effective against the Packers blitz, scoring 10 of 13 passes for 194 yards and two touchdowns with one interception when Green Bay had more than four assists.
