Fourth quarter, 6:08, 49ers 30-20: The 49ers dodge a ball as Jamal Agnew returns a 73-yard touchdown kick for a Lions touchdown, but he was recalled to two penalties in his turn.
The Lions have the ball at their own pace 21, although they are thin due to injuries and ejections.
Theo Riddick doubtful of an ankle injury. With Blount ejected, this leaves Kerryon Johnson as the only healthy Lions RB.
– Dave Birkett (@davebirkett) September 16, 2018
Fourth quarter, 8:36, 49ers 30-20: LeGarrette Blount did not like the way 49ers linebacker Elijah Lee treated Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford on the sideline. Blount's reaction cost him the game.
LaGarrette Blount is deported for leaving the bench to level Elijah Lee, who was struck at the border by Matthew Stafford. There was no penalty to Lee.
– Matt Maiocco (@MaioccoNBCS) September 16, 2018
The penalty put the Lions in third and 17th position, but Stafford – who again missed a home ball to Marvin Jones early in the race – found Golden Tate for 67 yards. Two games later, Stafford hit Jones on a 5-yard touchdown pass, and the Lions are still in that game.
Matthew Stafford finds Ahkello Witherspoon on the cover against Marvin Jones and delivers the TD pass. As the Vikings did last week, the Lions have not even really tested Richard Sherman.
– Matt Maiocco (@MaioccoNBCS) September 16, 2018
Cassius Marsh fired Stafford on the game before the TD pass, but he was also called for a mask penalty, canceling his effort.
Fourth quarter, 11:21, 49ers 30-13: The 49ers avoid the disaster when Dante Pettis pushes the ball away from Jimmy Garoppolo in second and seventh place in the 15 Lions. Pettis recovers the lost ball and a third throw is also incomplete.
Robbie Gould makes a 36-yard pass that makes it a three-way match. Time is running out on Lions.
Fourth quarter, 14:43, 49ers 27-13: Matthew Stafford just misses Marvin Jones on the right touchline for what would have been a big winner, and the Lions have to jump again.
The 49ers have the ball at their 48s and could put the game out of reach with a score on that disc.
Third quarter, 0:52, 49ers 27-13: Pierre Garcon gives a personal escort to Matt Brieda on the field once the running back has reached the second level of the Lions defense in overtime, resulting in a 66-yard touchdown.
Lions could not catch the "cheetah" @MattBreida.

– San Francisco 49ers (@ 49ers) September 16, 2018
This is a three-yard, 97-yard game to get a score. Sensational. Breida already has 138 yards in just 10 runs. The distance is a career high in one game, and the 66-yard TD doubles its longest previous run.
Third quarter, 5:47, 49ers 20-13: The San Francisco race takes place at Detroit 45, so Bradley Pinion skips to the pin and pins the Lions to 14.
Detroit also has big concerns, while cornerback Darius Slay left for a medical evaluation after a helmet hit between 49ers Kyle Juszczyk's helmet. Slay was sent off for a concussion in the season's loss to the Jets last week, but returned to the match. Not having Slay did not immediately affect the Lions in this game.
The Lions are rolling with Teez Tabor and Nevin Lawson on the outside CBs now, and the 49ers have yet to challenge them in the 2 games since Slay was injured.
– Dave Birkett (@davebirkett) September 16, 2018
Third quarter, 8:46, 49ers, 20-13: The Lions return the kickoff near the midfield and move quickly to the 49ers of 18, but penalties that are back to back destroy all their dynamics.
Matt Prater separates the amounts of 43 yards and it's a game again.
Third quarter, 13:17, 49ers 20-10: And the 49ers still scored a touchdown, Jimmy Garoppolo finding Garrett Celek 11 meters. Great start for San Francisco.

– San Francisco 49ers (@ 49ers) September 16, 2018
Third quarter, 2:47 pm, 49ers 13-10: D.J. Reed starts the second half for a 49er touchdown, but is recalled on a front penalty, and San Francisco must start on the Detroit 26. Poor break for the 49ers.
In a rare case, the mask call was made against Reed for arming a defender in the face. Typically, attacking players are not marked for this.
Officially, it was a return of 90 yards for # 49ers recruit D.J. Roseau.
– Matt Maiocco (@MaioccoNBCS) September 16, 2018
Half-time, 49ers 13-10: Matthew Stafford converted a third and tenth with an 18-yard pass to Marvin Jones to allow Detroit to move, and a penalty kick from Fred Warner pushed the Lions to the 30th of 49ers. Three more passes from Stafford place the Lions at 49ers' 9, but they are running out of time, and Matt Prater has to fight for a 27-yard placement with 3 seconds to go.
Lions coach Matt Patricia had three timeouts with two minutes to go, but he strangely chose not to call one of them while the 49ers had run out on their own. pace.
The biggest story of the first half is that of the four bags that Jimmy Garoppolo took, including three in the red zone and one in his own territory. He hit half of 10 passes 14 assists for 119 yards, but he felt like he had left points on the court.
And so ends the first half, in which we especially learned that Jimmy Garoppolo is easy to find in his own pocket.
– Ray Ratto (@RattoNBCS) September 16, 2018
Second quarter, 0:49, 49ers 13-7: Jimmy Garoppolo takes another ill-advised bag, placing the 49ers at their own 4, and they barely avoid giving up a security during a third pass game.
4 different LBs with bags for Lions in 1st half. I said @wjrradio Before the game, the Lions had to fend for pressure and pressure without Ziggy Ansah. They just do that. #DETvsSF
– Tim Twentyman (@ttwentyman) September 16, 2018
Bradley Pinion's kick, plus a Lions penalty, put Detroit in 34th place with just half of the time.
Second quarter, 14:00, 49ers 13-7: The Lions are apparently converting into third and fourth at their own 43, but 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan defies the game. The gold medal shows that Golden Tate's knee was down from the first scoring marker. K'Waun Williams attack.
So, Detroit must launch the fourth and second place after the two-minute warning.
Second quarter, 4:55, 49ers 13-7: Matthew Stafford tries to get things moving on a third and third game at Lions 26, but 49ers linebacker Elijah Lee drops him off the Detroit quarterback.

Jimmy Garoppolo and the offensive go three times, but the 49ers are content with a 42-yard field goal over Robbie Gould. Ex-49er Eli Harold sacked Garoppolo in third place to force the field test.
Jimmy Garoppolo is 10 of 12 for 119 yards with TD and no INT. His pass mark is 135.8. But he was sacked three times for 27 yards. All avoidable.
– Matt Maiocco (@MaioccoNBCS) September 16, 2018
Second quarter, 8:06, 49ers 10-7: The 49ers can not do much with their next possession and must beat after five games. Raheem Mostert absolutely lit Lions, the returning man, Jamal Agnew, at age 19 on the kick.
Second quarter, 10:28, 49ers 10-7: Matthew Stafford does not see Kenny Golladay in third and third place in 32nd Lions, and Detroit in three. After a dive and a penalty, the 49ers will start their next run at home.
In addition, Lions coach Matt Patricia is apparently upset by something …
I wonder if Patricia was arguing over the pace of the game, if the 49ers were breaking up with officials who did not give her enough time to get submarines. https://t.co/82QCK7B4EV
– Dave Birkett (@davebirkett) September 16, 2018
Second quarter, 12:07, 49ers 10-7: Kendrick Bourne could not be more open to second and second and had a 4-yard touchdown pass from Jimmy Garoppolo. Bourne, a wide catcher, lined up in the backfield, which is certainly not the case for Lions defense.

The 49ers faced long runs twice on the road, but Garoppolo hit George Kittle for a 17-yard pass to 30th in the Lions' second and thirteenth position, and Lions cornerback Darius Slay made a first-time penalty. and 20 some games after that.
End of first quarter, Lions 7-3: The 49ers are driving, thanks to a nice combination of passes, and will face the second-13 of the 47 Lions to start the second quarter. The teams will return the field now.
First quarter, 2:45, Lions 7-3: Matthew Stafford drives Detroit to San Francisco 30, where he finds a Kenny Golladay wide open for a nice touchdown pass. Golladay made an athletic gesture to stretch for the pylon, and the TD was confirmed during the exam.

The cover blown in the 49ers' secondary. Ahkello Witherspoon tries to catch Kenny Golladay, who seems to have scored on a 30-yard pass from Matthew Stafford. The referee Shawn Hochuli goes under the hood to confirm.
– Matt Maiocco (@MaioccoNBCS) September 16, 2018
The 49ers could have stopped the Lions race before it really started in Detroit territory, but Elijah Lee – in the place of injured linebacker Malcolm Smith – could not knock Theo Riddick out.
DeForest Buckner hurries RDE in third and 7. Solomon Thomas with center pressure, but Elijah Lee's failed tackle gives the Lions a first win.
– Matt Maiocco (@MaioccoNBCS) September 16, 2018
First quarter, 6:18, 49ers 3-0: The 49ers lead the 10 Lions, but they have to settle for a 45-yard field goal from Robbie Gould after Jimmy Garoppolo took the bags in first and second place.
The cover bag loses 8 yards. Garoppolo must get rid of the ball.

– Matt Maiocco (@MaioccoNBCS) September 16, 2018
Not ideal, but the 49ers will take the points.
First quarter, 10:52, 0-0: And the 49ers' defense holds, as DeForest Buckner pulls the hole and stops the third inning. Trent Taylor makes a nice catch of the Lions bet at 49ers, and that 's where Jimmy G and Co. will settle on their first ride.
First quarter, 11:34, 0-0: The Lions receive the kickoff and start at their own pace, then head for the midfield over a pass from Matthew Stafford to Kenny Golladay and four consecutive races from LeGarrette Blount and Kerryon Johnson.
Detroit is third and third at the 49-yard 49ers line, and San Francisco calls a timeout to establish his defense.

Lions running back LaGarrette Blount was also unsure because of a shoulder injury, but he is on the active player list.

Josh Gordon is a receiver who is not on the NFL field, but he is certainly in the minds of 49ers fans after this week 's NFL Media report that he would like to come to San Francisco.
Our Ray Ratto does not see a Gordon-to-49ers union, however.

10:22: While we wait for injury updates and inactive ones, be sure to consult Matt Maiocco's ### four 49ers to watch for the opening of today against Lions.
7:45: Jimmy Garoppolo has the taste of losing in his mouth for the first time as a starter to the NFL. He will try to flush it today when the Detroit Lions go to his 49ers at Levi Stadium for a 13:05 session. strong test.
Garoppolo came out of the gates last Sunday by throwing three interceptions against the Vikings' defense in a 24-16 loss. The Lions defense is not very popular, despite the presence of former Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia, whose unit allowed rookie QB Sam Darnold to tear them in a 48-17 win after a pick six in his first throw.
Matthew Stafford, the veteran Lions quarterback, enters the game in need of confidence after throwing four interceptions in the loss. Detroit does not have an overwhelming talent to turn back, and LeGarrette Blount has a shoulder injury, so Stafford will likely throw the ball 30 times or more. He fell below this mark four times last season.
Stay tuned to this live blog throughout the morning for game updates, then during the game for instant scans of Santa Clara to see if Jimmy G can put the 49ers back on the right way. It is likely that he will lose since his bad day, right?
