Pompeo in Turkey in the middle of a missing journalist mystery

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is expected to meet with Turkish officials on Wednesday about the case involving a Saudi journalist missing. Turkish officials claim that they have evidence that Jamal Khashoggi, a contributor to the Washington Post, who disappeared two weeks ago while he was traveling to the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, said was killed and dismembered inside the diplomatic complex. In a tweet on Tuesday, President Donald Trump said that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman "totally denied any knowledge". Unhappy with the Trump administration's handling of the situation, Congress took its own measures last week – using a 2012 international sanctions law to force the White House to open an investigation into Khashoggi's fate.

Marijuana is now legal in Canada

On Wednesday, Canada becomes the largest and most prominent country in the world to legalize marijuana sales, a move that experts say would significantly boost investment and research in the private sector. In contrast, Canada's national approach means that vegetable companies can use banks, commercial actions and sponsors peer-reviewed medical studies, in the same way as other pharmaceutical operations.

Atlas V rocket with Air Force satellite launched from Cape Canaveral

An Air Force satellite worth nearly $ 2 billion, designed to maintain the connection between the president and key military commanders, even during a nuclear conflict, was launched Wednesday morning in Cape Canaveral by the most powerful Atlas V rocket. The spacecraft built by Lockheed Martin will be added to the army's most secure satellite communications network, using radio frequencies capable of operating in radiation clouds that block the signals of most telecommunications satellites. Wednesday's launch was the eighth in ULA this year and the last in 2018 from the Space Coast, with another expected in California.

The Wisconsin authorities are still trying to locate a teenage girl whose parents were found murdered at home Monday morning in Barron, about 90 km northeast of Minneapolis. The police fear that 13-year-old Jayme Closs will be in danger after the police have been summoned to the residence by a mysterious 911 call from the house, in which "there was no interaction with the dispatcher" when noises have been heard. Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said the authorities had received a number of advice – including one from Miami – that they were following and did not consider Jayme as a suspect in the death of his parents.
