6.6 magnitude earthquake hits near Port Hardy, Canada
The United States Geological Survey reports a magnitude 6.6 magnitude earthquake near Port Hardy, Canada on Sunday.
The earthquake occurred at 21:39 local time, at a depth of 11 kilometers.
The US National Tsunami Warning Center reported that a tsunami was not planned. There was no initial word on the damage or injuries resulting from the earthquake. More information on this earthquake is available on the USGS event page.
