Finally, the world had its first look at Brie Larson as a Marvel superhero, and she definitely turned on – literally, because she's powerful.

The first trailer of "Captain Marvel" (in theaters March 8, 2019) debuted Tuesday with Larson in all its splendor with Carol Danvers, the superhero that comic book fans have been waiting for since Samuel L. Jackson At the end of "Avengers: Infinity War", Nick Fury pressed the beep button with a familiar logo of the red-blue and gold star. While we are still waiting to see how Carol will take into account the future of Marvel – especially his role in "Avengers 4" (released May 3, 2019) – the new images show the past of the universe because "Captain Marvel "takes place in the 1990s (Hello, Blockbuster Video!)

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (the duo behind "Mississippi Grind" and "Half Nelson"), the new film also stars Jackson (with both eyes and the usual patch of without Fury), Jude Law as a leader still anonymous from Starforce, Carol's outer space crew, and Ben Mendelsohn as a form-changing Skrull oversee Talos.

It's a bit of a twist on an alien invasion tale.

Carol hangs in a Blockbuster and is found by Agent SHIELD Fury, although he knows something is wrong. "I know a renegade soldier when I see one," he said of the captain. "It never occurred to me that we could come from above."

There is a complete original story with a crisis of identity.

Carol is clearly human, but she is also connected to the rest of the universe, especially the Kree and the Spaceforce. She also has memories of time spent on Earth, from her experience as a fighter pilot. "I think I had a life here, but I can not tell if it was real," she says.

Oh, hey, go see old friends!

Over the last ten years, Marvel's film universe has featured a group of people and "Captain Marvel" has caught up in the early days – not only Jackson but also Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Ronan, the accuser ( Lee Pace) of "Guardians of the Galaxy".

Carol now has the coolest MCU headset.

The misfires with which she shows up are not great, but the captain has some improvements to make in the trailer, including an appearance of his Mohawk headdress – a favorite of comic fans.

She will also totally kill an old lady.

In other words, if the old lady is one of the Skrulls with green skin disguised. Their appearance has potentially huge implications in the MCU: how long has their infiltration occurred and are some of our beloved heroes foreign spies?

Did we mention Carol's powerful fool?

The new superhero presents the first clue to his abilities to launch explosions on a train, but he does not compare to what we see in the end, his body bursting with energy and his eyes turning into small suns. Get ready, Thanos!
