A 75-year-old woman was stabbed to death in south-east London.
The victim was found guilty of several stab wounds by the police. She was summoned Friday at a house in Ethnard Road, Peckham, at 16:00 GMT.
The nurses treated the woman, but her death was pronounced 30 minutes later. His closest relatives have been informed.
A 55-year-old man, who was also at home, was arrested for murder and is still in police custody. The Met said the two men knew each other.
He is not looking for anyone else in connection with the death.
